7-12 Technology Integration
In Lodi Unified School District, staff members are provided with information on web-basedtechnology use in all K-12 classrooms. Support for other non-internet technologies--computer, hand-held devices, and peripherals--is also provided. While the primary language of information and technical support is English, when available and appropriate, materials for our five primary languages other than English--Spanish, Hmong, Urdu, Cambodian and Vietnamese--are provided.Technology integration for grades 7-12 involves using computers, hand-held devices, peripherals, digital resources, and the internet to enhance the traditional classroom learning environment, addressing the California content standards. The use of technology in the 7-12 classrooms is always with the intent of eliminating the achievement gap and providing equal access to the curriculum for all students.Martha Snider, the 7-12 Instructional Technology Coach, facilitates technology integration at the middle schools and high schools. Not only does she visit each school on a regular basis throughout the year, Mrs. Snider delivers a variety of professional development classes. In addition to visits and classes, she stays connected with all 7-12 staff via email, phone, and enewsletter support, keeping the 7-12 community abreast of technology developments. |
