Measure T Bond Information

Measure T is designed as a tax rate extension and continuation of Lodi Unified School District's Measure K bond, which expires in 2029 when all bonds of Measure K will be paid and no longer outstanding. Measure T is not projected to raise property taxes from current rates under Measure K.

Measure T's estimated average annual tax rate is projected to be less than $22 per $100,000 of assessed valuation of property within the District. Assessed valuation should not be confused with market value. The assessed valuation is the value placed on the property by San Joaquin County and is typically (but not always) lower than market value.

No, Measure T will not be impermissibly used for administrator or staff salaries, overhead, or pensions. Measure T will be used strictly for school and classroom repair and construction purposes, in accordance with California law.

Measure T will be available to be used for all schools in Lodi Unified School District regardless of location based on the long-range facility plan, and subject to the "bond project list" that is part of the full text of Measure T. The full text of the measure will be made available in the San Joaquin County Voter Information Guide and is an exhibit to the Board-adopted resolution calling the bond election.

Yes. All Measure T dollars must be used locally on only the projects listed in the bond project list for Measure T. No Measure T dollars will be taken by State or Federal Governments.

Yes. Measure T will have strict oversight controls, including public disclosure of all spending, ongoing citizen oversight, and annual financial and performance audits by independent auditors.

Yes, there will be public forums to discuss Measure T with the community. Public forums discussing Measure T will be announced on this website and the Lodi USD website homepage as information becomes available.
