The Lodi Unified School District Teacher Induction Program (TIP) provides a two year individualized, job-embedded system of mentoring, support and professional learning for preliminary credential holders that leads to a Clear Multiple Subject, Single Subject, or Educational Specialist Credential. Through the support of mentors, candidates apply the learning acquired in teacher preparation to the realities of daily classroom teaching. Using the Teacher Induction formative assessment system, candidates become reflective teachers, build collaborative relationships, and develop sound pedagogical practices and competencies that advance student learning.

Each candidate is matched within the first 30 days with a highly qualified mentor who will work with them a minimum of one hour a week to develop and refine strong teaching skills by looking at evidence and reflecting on his/her  practice as it relates to the California Standards for the Teaching Profession (CSTP).

If you are a new teacher to Lodi Unified, please click here to complete the credential information form or call the Professional Development office at 331-8148, or email Edna Lawson at emlawson@lodiusd.net
