Awards and Recognition

The Board of Education believes the District’s employees are its most valuable resource and encourages recognition of the services they provide. The Superintendent or designee may issue service pins, certificates, plaques or other mementos in accordance with Education Code 44015.

The Board authorizes awards to employees who:

  1. Propose ideas or procedures which eliminate or reduce District expenditures or improve District operations.
  2. Perform special acts or services in the public interest.
  3. By their superior accomplishments, make exceptional contributions to the efficiency, economy, or other improvement in District Operations.

No award for an individual shall exceed $200.00 unless specifically authorized by the Board of Education.

Awards and Recognition

Awards

Program administrators may submit to the Superintendent or his/her designee for award approval:

Purpose of award
Type of award
Cost of award
 

The Superintendent or his/her designee shall approve or disapprove the request for the award. Upon approval, the Superintendent or his/her designee will proceed with obtaining the award, scheduling on Board agenda for recognition, and notification of recipient.


Certificates of Recognition

Program administrators may submit to the Superintendent or his/her designee the names of person(s) eligible to receive a certificate of recognition. The request must indicate the reason for the certificate. Upon Superintendent/designee approval, the Superintendent/designee will prepare the certificate, schedule for Board agenda, and notify the recipient.
