Safe Bus Riding Practices
Classroom instruction in safe riding practices for pupils in school busses shall be provided to all pupils in grades K-6. This instruction shall include practice in bus evacuation procedures in a simulated emergency.
Similar instruction shall be provided to all pupils in grades 7-12 who have occasion to use school transportation, whether for home-to-school purposes, study trips, or as members of special groups.
The superintendent/designee is responsible for procedures to implement this policy and for the maintenance of required records.
