Textbooks and Supplementary Instructional Materials
Textbooks adopted for use in elementary and middle schools shall be selected and prescribed by the State Board of Education according to Education Code specifications. Textbooks will be available free of charge to the students. The Board of Education may authorize the purchase of supplementary textbooks upon the recommendation of the superintendent. These shall be paid for by the district and furnished free of charge to the student.
