Rule 6161.4

Classroom Equipment and Supplies

To ensure that all students have comparable access to basic equipment and instructional supplies, the Superintendent or designee shall maintain and regularly update a list of basic items provided by the district for each classroom. The Superintendent or designee shall ensure that teachers moving into a new classroom have all of these basic items.

Teachers transferred to another school shall take with them only those personal items which they have purchased with their own funds. Materials that are unique to a specialized talent or program also may go to the new location if approved by the schools' principals. Items paid for by school-connected organizations, grants, or the district shall remain at their present location unless the principals of both schools make special arrangements which serve the best interests of the districtwide instructional program.
