WOrk Experience Education

The Board of Education believes that work experience education programs can provide students with valuable instruction in the skills, attitudes and understandings they need in order to be successfully employed.

In order that they may strike a proper balance between work experience and academic instruction, juniors and seniors may receive a maximum of 20 credits of work experience (10 per semester) in their junior or senior year.

Emphasis will be placed on screening employees for meaningful work experience. Work experience should encourage a career focus.

The Superintendent or designee shall ensure that the work experience education program meets all of the requirements of law governing these programs.
