Instruction - Camp Experience in outdoor education
When financial circumstances do not permit the district to fully fund a camp experience in the outdoor education curriculum for its students, the district will permit a school site non-profit organization of parents to provide that experience to the pupils of that school under the following conditions:
- All pupils (and all classrooms) in a given grade shall be afforded the same education opportunities.
- No pupils shall be denied the right to participate because of lack of funds; therefore, scholarships shall be available to the children of indigent families.
- Any arrangements for group money-raising activities shall:
a. be the responsibility of the parent group;
b. be made in consultation with the school principal; and
c. not take classroom time.
4. All arrangements for the science camp experience shall be made through the office of the Superintendent or his/her designee.
