Cellular Towers

Distribution and Use of Funds Received from Cellular Tower Lease Lease Agreements at Comprehensive High School Sites

In the event that the leasing of District property at an existing comprehensive high school site to private providers of cellular telephone service for the purpose of creating a new signal tower results in the creation of a regular and identifiable income stream, the distribution and use of these funds will be as follows:

Distribution

All moneys collected from the leasing of District property at any comprehensive high school site to effect the creation of a new cellular telephone signal tower (whether that be through the addition of necessary equipment to an existing light standard or the creation of a new, dedicated structure) will be distributed and shared equally among each of the District’s comprehensive high schools. Distributions will be made to each school site budget annually, based on the total amount anticipated for collection during the upcoming fiscal year from all operating cellular tower installations. Funds received from mid-year installations will be distributed similarly, but on a pro-rated basis, according to amount and terms of the mid-year installation contract.

Uses

Funds received by comprehensive high school sites under the terms of this policy will be made available to support all regular school site activities and educational needs.
