Lodi Unified School District

School Readiness & Preschool

Preschool provides a nurturing environment that fosters social, cognitive, and emotional skills crucial for a child's future academic and personal success.

Lodi USD preschool (Head Start & State Preschool) is offered at several school sites. These programs are funded with grant funding and have eligibility requirements including an income limit based on the number of people in the family.

Both Head Start and State Preschool programs have a strong focus on family engagement and parent participation in the classroom. There is also a home visiting component in both programs.  All classrooms are licensed by the Department of Social Services.
