ParentSquare

Lodi USD is moving communication platforms for two reasons. First, we’ve heard the feedback about the challenges families face when using multiple tools to manage all of the communication from the school, staff, and teachers. With ParentSquare, we’re simplifying our systems, improving consistency, and creating more opportunities for meaningful engagement within our school and in classrooms. This will ultimately allow us to help keep you better informed and more connected with our school community.

Second, our current communications platform is being discontinued as of June 30, 2026. A platform transition was imminent, and with ParentSquare already used in more than 70% of California school districts, we feel confident that this is the best step forward for our district. 

No. While it is recommended that you download the free app to get the most out of the platform, you do not need to download the app before receiving communication. 

For now, staff members must access their accounts through logging into the Aeries Staff POrtal. From there, you will see "Communications" listed on the left side navigation panel. Clicking that will take you directly to the dashboard. For those who don't have Aeries access, please reach out to communications@lodiusd.net.

Yes! The direct message feature of ParentSquare allows parents and guardians to send a message to a teacher or staff member. Staff members can also utilize direct messaging to communicate with families. You will receive a notification from your child’s school when a message is sent to you (either by text, email and/or app notification depending on your preferences). You do not need to be logged in or have a registered account to receive notifications, however you do need to have a registered account in order to reply.

A registered account means that you followed the account activation process that was emailed to you prior to the ParentSquare transition. You do not need to download the app to register your account. Please reach out to communications@lodiusd.net if you need the email resent to you.

1. Click your name in the top-right of the screen and then select Manage Account. 
2. Click Language and use the drop-down menu to select your language.

2. Tap Preferences, then Language. 
3. Choose your language setting from the list.

Contact information is pulled directly from Aeries. Please contact your child’s school to request a contact change

Change your notification settings to digest in order to receive one summary notification at the end of the day, instead of real time notifications. To do this - 

Update your Notification Settings (using web browser)

1. From Home, click your name and select Manage Account.
2. Click Notification Settings.
3. Choose your preferred notification settings:
   - General Announcements & Messages by Email, Text or App and frequency for posts (Off, Instant or Digest)
   - School Alerts (On or Off)
   After you've made selections, future messaging will send based on your preferences. 
   
   Note: you cannot turn off Urgent Alerts & Notices; this includes attendance notices.
    
4. If you have multiple emails or phones listed on your account, set the order of your preferred contacts to receive notifications. Notifications will only be sent to one email and one phone on your account.
    

Update your Notification Setting (using mobile app)

1. From home screen tap the triple bar menu at top left.
2. Select Account and then Notifications. 
3. Select how you want to be notified at each school.
   - Turn OFF Custom Settings to use the same notification settings for all schools.
   - Turn ON Custom Settings to set different notifications at each school.
4. Toggle on or off to receive Email, Text and/or App Notifications.
5. Select Instant or Digest for each mode. Note: Digest is recommended – you will receive one notification per day, for all posts, in the evening. 
   
   Note: In order to receive app notifications on your phone, be sure they are enabled in your phone settings.
