Step 2 - Complete fingerprinting at the agency of your choice and submit signed fingerprinting form back to Personnel Services.
Check your email for the fingerprinting form from Personnel Services. Complete fingerprinting at the agency of your choice and submit a signed copy of the fingerprinting form back to Personnel Services. Failure to provide a signed copy to Personnel Services may cause delays with application processing.

Step 3 - Await clearance with the Department of Justice (DOJ).

The fingerprinting agency will submit the fingerprints to DOJ. Once Personnel Services receives a response from DOJ, your school principal will be notified via email. Applicants will receive final approval status via email.

Note

Personnel Services does not have timeframe information on DOJ providing fingerprint results. If you have not received response within 30 days of fingerprinting, please contact Personnel Services at (209) 331-7095.

Volunteer Drivers

All volunteer drivers must complete a Volunteer Request Form and have fingerprints already on file with Personnel Services before beginning the volunteer driver application process.

Potential volunteers start by submitting their volunteer driver application. The submitted application is reviewed by the school principal and the Risk Management department, checking for insurance requirements and documentation. Next, a background check is performed, and the Transportation Department runs a DMV clearance check to review the volunteer’s driving history.

The volunteer driver application process ensures that all volunteer drivers meet the necessary safety and documentation standards before being able to transport students. For details, please contact your volunteering site.
